The i-MiEV arrived in Canada, and was recognized by Natural Resources Canada as the country’s most fuel-efficient subcompact car.
2013
We released the Outlander PHEV, the world’s first plug-in hybrid SUV. It won the RJC Technology of the Year Award and Car of the Year’s Innovation Award in Japan.
2017
The Outlander PHEV arrived in Canada.

There are a lot of factors that go into thinking about your vehicle, and we can help you sort that out.
The reality is you might not be in an EV headspace yet, and that’s fine. Canada is a big country. Range and charging availability are important considerations. So, we get that gas vehicles still make sense; it’s why we make them. But if you’re curious about what’s out there and how it all works, you can trust that we know what we’re talking about.
What’s next in EVs for us?
By 2030, our vehicle lineup in Canada will be renewed and expanded. While we’ll still offer gas vehicles, our plan is to offer a selection of hybrids, plug-in hybrids and battery electrics.
